Ebest and Hajd\u00faszoboszl\u00f3 are connected by a well-constructed cycle path along the main road No 4.
The distance between the two settlements is 8.4 km from the Tourinform office in Hajd\u00faszoboszl\u00f3.
This cycle route is not only recommended for active cyclists, but also for families with children and even older people.
We also recommend exploring Ebes as a further recreational option!
Even though museums and other visitor centres are closed during the current season, it is still worth at least visiting Ebes from the outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The park is located between the savings bank and the Catholic Church of St. Lawrence.On 18 August 2011, on the initiative of a citizen, the municipality erected a wooden cross to commemorate the destruction of the medieval village in 1594. The cross is the work of Attila Tokai, a woodcarver from Ebes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The square next to the Town Hall was named after Count Istv\u00e1n Sz\u00e9chenyi in 2000.
The full-length bronze statue of the Count, in the square, was also unveiled at the same time.
The artwork is the work of sculptor Lajos Gy\u0151rfi.
In 2012, another element was added to the square, with the first fountain in the municipality.
The composition \u201eFishing net with fish\u201d on the ornamental fountain is also the work of Lajos Gy\u0151rfi.
On the square is the Reformed Church, which is also worth a visit, at least from the outside. It will be mentioned in more detail later as a recommended attraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A popular community space for the people of Ebes is the Great Park, known as the \u201elungs\u201d of the village, which has been the venue of many village festivals and mayivals in the past.
The park has play equipment, a large grassy area and a fire pit.
The surrounding forest is a favourite with running enthusiasts, and its birdsong atmosphere is particularly captivating in spring and summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first church in modern-day Ebes was started on 24 October 1992. The first church plan could not be realized due to foundation defects, so construction was restarted in 1993 on the basis of a second plan. The nave was built and the tower was added. Construction was given a new impetus in 1995. On 12 February 1997, the roof was put in place, together with the tower roofs. On 8 June 1997 the bells were consecrated: the Mary and Martin bells were made in the bell foundry of Lajos Gombos in \u0151rbotty\u00e1n. The painted tapestries of the church's choir loft were made by the artist L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Buka, depicting biblical motifs and Reformed symbols. On 5 October 1997, the church was inaugurated during a festive service by Dr. Guszt\u00e1v B\u00f6lcskei, Reformed Bishop of Tisz\u00e1nt\u00fali and Reverend Zsuzsanna Buk\u00e1n\u00e9 Zakar.
In the Reformed churchyard there is a memorial to the families displaced to Ebes.

The church was built in 1997. The 182 square metre church and theatre were designed by \u00c1kos Kov\u00e1ts architect and P\u00e9ter Moh\u00e1csi interior designer in Ady Endre Street. The stained-glass windows are the work of Erzs\u00e9bet Szab\u00f3, depicting Hungarian saints, while the fire enamel paintings of the altar were created by Vitus L\u0151rincz. The bell in the tower is named after St Nicholas, in honour of the patron saint of the ancient church.
An interesting fact about the Roman Catholic church is that it was consecrated in honour of St. Lawrence on 9 August 1998 by the county bishop N\u00e1ndor Bos\u00e1k.

Start from the Tourinform office via F\u00fcrd\u0151 street, then at the second possibility take the Debreceni \u00fat cycle path, follow the main road number 4 for 3.6 km, then turn left onto the E573 road, which leads for 3.7 km to the exit of Ebes F\u0151 street, turn right and cross the traffic light crossing. This street continues for about 1 km, turning right, the next street is Ady Endre Street, where the St. Lawrence Catholic Church is located.
