On 23 May this year, the 30th National Goulash Competition and Shepherd's Pie Meeting will be held in the Pusztai Animal Park in Hortobágy.
Participants in the goulash competition will test their skills in traditional tasks such as catching cattle, water-pulling, throwing a sheet, and using a goulash stick and a ringed whip. The day will be made unforgettable by communal chirping, folk music and dance, while visitors will be able to wander around a folk art fair, sample lowland shepherd dishes and meet native animal species.
