Endre Szász 100 – An exclusive guided tour with Katalin Sz. Hajdu

A special guided tour awaits visitors at the closing event of the ‘Endre Szász 100’ commemorative exhibition. At the exhibition, Katalin Sz. Hajdu, Endre Szász’s widow, will guide interested visitors through the exhibition, bringing the artist’s life and works closer to them through personal stories and behind-the-scenes insights.

The exhibition in Hajdúszoboszló, organised to mark the 100th anniversary of Endre Szász’s birth, presents a comprehensive selection from the life’s work of this defining figure of 20th-century Hungarian fine art. Paintings, tapestries, prints, illustrations and rarely seen coloured porcelain pieces are all featured in the exhibition. A highlight of the exhibition is the painting entitled *The Muse*, which depicts the artist’s wife, Katalin Sz. Hajdu.

The guided tour is free of charge, but you will need to purchase a ticket to view the exhibition.

The last day the exhibition is open: Until 12:00 on 26 September 2026

Monday–Friday: 10:00–19:00
Saturday: 9.00 am–12.00 pm
The ticket office is open and last admission is 60 minutes before closing time.

Tickets:

• Adult: 2,000 Ft
• Ages 0–3: free of charge
• Child (aged 4–18): 1,500 Ft
• Pensioners and teachers: 1,500 Ft
• Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children): 6,000 Ft per family

• Group ticket for adults (10 or more people): 1,500 Ft per person
• Group ticket for children (10 or more people): 1,000 Ft per person

For residents of Hajdúszoboszló, upon presentation of their residence card:

• Adult: 1,000 Ft
• Children / pensioners / teachers: 600 Ft

The pensioner and teacher discounts are available upon presentation of a valid ID card.
