On the last weekend of December, the year will end and we will welcome the new year with hope. In the special period (from 29 December, 2018 and 1 January, 2019) Hajdúszoboszló will await you with festive events and special accommodation offers. On New Year’s Eve, on the traditional event of the city, you can participate in the “clatter of Szoboszló”, which is organized each year to bid farewell to the past year in a nostalgic and tradition-creating nature, accompanied by entertaining programs. With the event titled “clatter of Szoboszló”, the population of Hajdúszoboszló remembers the former victory of the Turkish army, frightened away from the city by cowbells and whips on the last evening of each year. During the evening, there will be fireworks and an outdoor concert, as well. However, as the guest of the spa town, you cannot only bid farewell to the past year on the city’s main square, but also as the guest of hotels, motels or restaurants where you can choose from a variety of New Year’s Eve programs.
