The catholic church of Hajdúszoboszló, the Szent László Roman Catholic Church was built in Baroque style in 1776.

The frescoes decorating the interior of the Roman Catholic Church are the artworks of István Takács church artist made in the 30’s. The art piece combined Christian themes with the determinant features of the city’s life, like finding the thermal water or the closeness of Hortobágy. The Catholic Church, which is located on Bocskai Street, is deemed one Hajdúszoboszló’s unique attractions with the frescoes mentioned above. Another curiosity of the church is that John Paul, II visited this church sanctuary as the Archbishop of Krakow.
