Oven Tavern

The Kemencés Csárda is located in Hajdúszoboszló at the junction of Szilfákalja Street and Crane's Corner, 5 minutes' walk from the Spa.

The restaurant

The idea of opening the tavern was born in 1998, with the construction of a kiln, which is still in use today and helped in the naming of the tavern. The furnishings and atmosphere of the restaurant are also in keeping with the „kiln” character, which attracts many returning customers to the restaurant. The whole restaurant is air-conditioned, the glass room is a non-smoking area. The interior garden has a special atmosphere because it is located in the middle of the tavern, surrounded by several rooms, but still open with a retractable roof. The restaurant also offers a music service in the 120-seat Pinczés room, 3 evenings a week from 6pm.

Our offer

Our menu focuses on traditional Hungarian dishes, and fish, poultry and Mediterranean dishes are also available.
You can also taste our traditional dish, bread and scones, every week on Monday, Friday and Saturday evening from 18:00. Other oven-prepared dishes include roast goose, duck and veal, stuffed cabbage with smoked hocks.
There is a separate wine bar in the restaurant, which is complemented by a garden during the summer. During the high season, guests can also enjoy a selection of food and drinks on the restaurant's street terrace.

Event management

The restaurant also has a portable oven, which we use to prepare traditional „oven” dishes for events. In the different rooms of the restaurant, we can cater for corporate and family events.

The owner-manager Károly Pinczés, who has been working in the hospitality industry for several decades, says that guest satisfaction is the most important thing and that's why he and the whole staff of the Tavern work for it.
The owner's work has been recognised with awards from various professional organisations:
